Summary

From Sariah Wilson, the bestselling author of Roommaid, comes a captivating romantic comedy about what happens when a wedding party mixes business with romance。

Rachel Vinson is a bridesmaid for hire: part confidante, part wedding planner, and one hundred percent pretend BFF。 Discretion guaranteed。 Her next gig is a destination wedding—livestreamed and sponsored—for an Instagram influencer。 That means a paradise of new contacts, which could be a boon to her already booming business。 If Rachel can keep the very handsome and slightly too interested best man at bay, that is。

High-tech entrepreneur Camden Lewis must know: Who is this gorgeous, intelligent, and mysterious woman? Too good to be real。 Convinced she’s a corporate spy out to tank his company, Camden’s not letting her out of his sight。 But the constant surveillance is also opening his eyes to things about Rachel that he likes。 If she’s a spy, she’s certainly the cutest one he’s ever seen。

As the week’s worth of wedding events march along, Rachel and Camden are learning almost everything there is to know about each other。 Rachel’s made a career out of always a bridesmaid…but perhaps there’s a chance for her own trip down the aisle?

This was such a cute, fun and funny rom-com! If you want to laugh this is the book for you!I love the idea of Rachel's company (she has a business where she rents out women as bridesmaids)。This book focuses mostly on one particular wedding (Sadie and Dan's big day)。 The story is set in Hawaii and I loved everything about Rachel, her co-worker and friend Krista and the bride (Sadie)。The romance was really good too!Thank you netgalley and Montlake Romance for allowing me to read this book。 This was such a cute, fun and funny rom-com! I usually read mystery and thriller, but decided to go for something light and fun this time。 Cute story and a quick, entertaining read。 A bit repetitive during the first half of the book and definitely not an abundance of intellectual substance, but the characters were lovable。

CuteWhat a fun story! The chance of Rachel meeting Camden, the friendship of both Krista and Sadie made this novel a cute story。

Fun Read!!!The Paid Bridesmaid was the first book I’ve read by S Wilson, and it won’t be my last。 The story was fun。 A great read。 The writing was witty。 I highly recommend。

I really enjoyed this novel and would probably rate it a 4。5/5。 It was definitely cheesy but also funny。 There was no smut but lots of sexual tension。 The supporting characters were also well developed and helped move the plot along。 My only complaint is the rushed ending and how the main characters' relationship was sped up。 It didn't fit the pacing of the rest of the novel。 I really enjoyed this novel and would probably rate it a 4。5/5。 It was definitely cheesy but also funny。 There was no smut but lots of sexual tension。 The supporting characters were also well developed and helped move the plot along。 My only complaint is the rushed ending and how the main characters' relationship was sped up。 It didn't fit the pacing of the rest of the novel。 。。。more

It was a sweet romance, a slow - burn one and frustrating at times! That’s the reason for the three stars。 Towards the latter part, it picked up a little and I felt it was sweet but most of the book was quite slow! Camden’s character was sweet and you fall in love with him! Had it been a little fast paced would have been an awesome book!

HilariousAn uplifting good read! The characters are so human and the plot kept my interest throughout。 I smiled the entire time I was reading。

Sharon

Cute little PG-13 romance。 Lots of smoldering looks and sexual tension, but nothing more graphic than sexy kissing and his shirt was off once (unrelated to any kissing)。

While the premise of the main characters job seemed a bit odd, I found it fit into the story very well。 I really enjoyed reading this book and feel sad that it's done!!! Great book! Fun and endearingI wish there were men like this in the world。 Rachel and Camden are fun, intelligent characters。 This could be a great self help book for all of us who hide behind our work。 We are meant to be with others, not isolated and I have to say she nailed the attitudes of lots of brides and bridesmaids。 Fun read。

This was my KindleFirst pick for December。 I’m not a big romcom fan but it interested me the most out of all the offerings。 It had a cute cover and it was a super light, fluffy read。 3 stars because I did finish it…but mostly because I was on a cruise with no reception and had nothing else downloaded on my e-reader。I was getting very heavy 27 Dresses vibes from this story, and I did think that movie was quite cute。 It’s about a bridesmaid-for-hire who falls in love with the best man, but they ca This was my KindleFirst pick for December。 I’m not a big romcom fan but it interested me the most out of all the offerings。 It had a cute cover and it was a super light, fluffy read。 3 stars because I did finish it…but mostly because I was on a cruise with no reception and had nothing else downloaded on my e-reader。I was getting very heavy 27 Dresses vibes from this story, and I did think that movie was quite cute。 It’s about a bridesmaid-for-hire who falls in love with the best man, but they can’t be together…I still don’t really understand it…because of our protagonist’s rule that she can’t date anyone from the weddings she works and the groom forbidding his groomsmen from hooking up with bridesmaids, even though nobody listens anyway。I loved the setting (destination wedding in Hawaii? Sounded so fun!) and that it was such a quick read。 And the last 20% was interesting when something actually started to happen。 Then everything was patched up too easily and it was over too quick when the requisite forgiveness scene happened (seemed too easy IMO, even for a romcom) and the HEA。 My issue was that I wanted to really root for Rachel and Camden, but I felt zero chemistry between them and didn’t care whether they ended up together or not。 Neither of themwere very likeable。 I know Camden is supposed to be our perfect, hot hero but all I saw was a guy who pushed Rachel’s boundaries (chasing her even when she was saying no and telling him she can’t be with him) and he reminded me too much of a charming and seductive, but ultimately manipulative and emotionally abusive ex-boyfriend I had。 And Rachel came off as extremely immature and wishy washy。 It was just page after page of how she wanted him and how hot she found him but then constantly justifying to herself why she couldn’t be with him and it got tiresome。 I can suspend disbelief that they truly fell in love over a week but it was way too insta-lovey and silly for me。 They didn’t sound like a 25 and a 27 year old with successful businesses, but like two teenagers pining over each other。 The rest of the cast felt like 2D stereotypes。 And the fallout at the end happened because of something totally random and not referenced at all at any point during the book。 The first 80% of the book was really boring and I skimmed parts of it。This book wasn’t for me but I’d be willing to read future works by this author, since I enjoyed Roommaid。 Or maybe romcoms just aren’t my cup of tea。 。。。more

Really good!A surprisingly warm and funny romantic comedy, with relatable (if predictably unrealistically attractive) characters for whom I rooted, ached, and cheered。

*3。5 stars*This was cute and fun to read。 But it could have definitely been a lot shorter。 The week long destination wedding felt like month to me。 I was checking many times whether it was ending soon but then realise there is still so much more to go。 Overall the story and everything was great。 Just that there were some unnecessary things in it which made it too lengthy for me

I read this book on a coast-to-coast flight and laughed myself silly in the process。 Several people looked at me with "I want what she's having" glances。 Will I read this author again? Absolutely! It was like absolutely nothing happened and then everything happened at once。The timeline for this story is incredibly wonky and it's just one cliche after another。 I finished it, but just barely。2/5 - I could talk more about what I didn't like but honestly idc It was like absolutely nothing happened and then everything happened at once。The timeline for this story is incredibly wonky and it's just one cliche after another。 I finished it, but just barely。2/5 - I could talk more about what I didn't like but honestly idc 。。。more

Unbelievable funYes。 This was completely unbelievable, but I thoroughly enjoyed the story。 I really do like Sariah Wilson and this was a fun twist on "always a bridesmaid"。 For entertainment purposes, I'm giving this 5 stars。Content: There are some parts that are edgy, but this is a clean read。 Note there's a mom that's an alcoholic who is in denial。Language: CleanReligious: NoHappy reading!
